This notice explains how we handle personal data under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), where applicable.
The data controller (veri sorumlusu) is Konya Selçuklu Krom Magnezit Tuğla Sanayii A.Ş. (“KONREF”, “we”).
Under KVKK Art. 5 and GDPR Art. 6, we rely on: your explicit consent (e.g. non-essential cookies, optional marketing); the performance of, or steps prior to, a contract; our legitimate interests in running and securing our business and website; and compliance with legal obligations.
We may share personal data with service providers acting on our behalf (e.g. website hosting, email, form/anti-spam and analytics providers) and with public authorities where required by law. Some providers may be located outside Türkiye/the EEA; where this occurs we apply appropriate safeguards in line with KVKK Art. 9 and GDPR Chapter V (e.g. adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or your explicit consent).
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and for the periods required by applicable law, after which it is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.
Under KVKK Art. 11 you have the right to: learn whether your data is processed and request information about it; learn the purpose and whether it is used accordingly; know the third parties to whom it is transferred; request correction of incomplete/incorrect data; request erasure or destruction; request that corrections/erasures be notified to recipients; object to outcomes of solely automated analysis; and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
Where the GDPR applies, you also have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time.
You may submit a request in writing to our registered address, or by email to kvkk@konyakrom.com, including information sufficient to identify you. We respond within 30 days (KVKK) and without undue delay (GDPR). A KVKK application form is available on request.
You may lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu, kvkk.gov.tr) or, in the EEA, with your local supervisory authority.
We may update this notice from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
